The All County Elementry, Middle, and High School Bands will be in concert Monday, January 23rd, at the Coral Springs City Center.
Congratulations to the 122 members of the Stoneman Douglas Eagle Regiment Marching Band for two fantastic performances at the 2011 FMBC State Championships at the Tropicana Dome in St. Petersburg. All bands in five classes (1A-5A) — there were more than 95 competing marching bands– marched in semifinal competition earlier Saturday. The top five bands in each class, as ranked by judges’ scoring, advanced to the finals.
The Eagle Regiment Marching Band were crowned 1st Runner Up in Class 4A. The band also received awards for Best Color Guard. It was truly an outstanding weekend and we are so proud of our students for the way they represented our school and community.

Tony Balin, Richmond Indiana, GE Coordination “Nice job Stoneman, Nicely done, Very well trained band. Top 5 in the State of Florida, what a great way to conclude your season. Guys, thank your director and staff, all your parents, and helpers, because they believe in you, they love you, they know that this program is something to have pride in and just want to be a part of.”
Richard Saucedo, Carmel, Indiana, Music Ensemble “Some nice playing all the way through out. Boy, I really enjoyed the sax, piccolo, baritone, tuba solos, just really, really nicely done. Boy what a great program, some great teaching going on, just wonderful stuff guys. Congratulations, it seems like year after year, you guys always produce a quality product. Rebecca Tutunick (Piccolo) and Gabriel Guerra (Bb Clarinet) for your selection to the 2012 Florida Bandmasters Association All State Concert Band.
They will perform at the 2012 Florida Music Educators Association Clinic-Conference in Tampa, January 11-12, 2012.
I want to thank you for a wonderful weekend. Such an outstanding celebration of excellence! Great rehearsals, a wonderful end of season picnic (Thank You Parents!!!) and a performance that earned Best in Class for Music, General Effect, Visual Performance, Auxiliary, and Percussion, 1st Place 4A, and Overall 2nd Runner Up. I just really felt so proud to be the Director of this program. So excited to “WOW” the croud at the 2011 FMBC State Championships in the Tropicana Dome! Hail Regiment!!!

Congratulations to the Stoneman Douglas Eagle Regiment Marching Band for their outstanding performance at the Boca Raton Marching Band Invitational this past Saturday. The Band won Best Music, Best Color Guard, 1st Place Class 5A, and overall highest show score. Due to rain, the show was moved inside for standstill performances.
The band’s final local performance will be this Saturday at Santaluces High School.

Congratulations to the Stoneman Douglas Eagle Regiment Marching Band for 22 years of Straight Superior Ratings at the Florida Bandmasters Association District 15 Marching Band Evaluation this past Saturday at Coral Springs High School.

“Very fine presentation! Individuals and ensemble had command of the style and execution of the visual aspects of the show.

Congratulations to the Stoneman Douglas Eagle Regiment Marching Band for their outstanding performance at the 2011 John I Leonard Competition which featured 30 Marching Bands from Broward, Dade, and Palm Beach. The Band received Distinguish Ratings in Music and Visual Performance, General Effect, Auxiliary, Percussion, and Drum Majors. Won Best in Class 4A for Auxiliary, Music, Visual, General Effect, Drum Major, and Woodwinds.. 1st Place Class 4A and Overall Grand Champions.
